Our Story & Approach
A place to think
about money, carefully
Ruam Wealth was built on a simple conviction: adults in Thailand deserve financial education that respects their intelligence and their time.
Back to HomeOur Background
How Ruam Wealth came to be
Ruam Wealth was established in Bangkok in 2019 by a small group of educators and financial practitioners who noticed a gap that no existing institution was filling. Banks in Thailand are well-placed to sell products. Larger financial education organisations tend to serve younger professionals or corporate HR programmes. What was missing was a calm, unhurried space for adults in their forties and beyond — people with real assets, real decisions, and real questions — to build genuine financial understanding without being sold anything.
The name "Ruam" means "together" or "gathered" in Thai. It reflects the spirit of the sessions: a facilitator and a small group of participants, gathered around a table, working through material that matters. There is no stage. There is no presentation selling you a product at the end. There is a printed template, a reference card, and an honest conversation about what the numbers actually mean for your situation.
Our programmes have been developed and refined through more than five years of delivering sessions in Bangkok. The content is updated regularly to reflect changes in Thai Social Security regulations, provident fund structures, and the behaviour of regional equity markets. When something changes in the Thai financial landscape, it finds its way into the next cohort's material.
We are a small organisation and intend to remain one. Each cohort is kept deliberately small so that the facilitator can attend properly to each participant. Growth, for us, means depth — not the number of seats we can fill in a room.
"Our purpose is financial fluency, not financial instruction. We want participants to understand what they are reading, not simply be told what to do."

Our Standards
How we hold ourselves to account
No product sales, ever
We hold no securities licence, no insurance broker registration, and receive no referral income from any Thai financial institution. This is a structural commitment, not a policy we can waive.
Regularly updated content
Materials are reviewed before each cohort cycle. When Thai Social Security regulations or provident fund structures change, our templates reflect that within the current or next session.
Small group commitment
We cap each cohort at ten participants. This is not a commercial decision — it reflects our belief that financial understanding requires individual attention, not a broadcast.
Privacy of participant information
Participant details are held only for programme administration purposes and are never shared with financial service providers. This is stated clearly in our enrolment terms and our privacy policy.
Transparent fee structure
Programme fees are published on our website. There are no add-on charges, no optional extras, and no post-programme upsells. What you see is what you pay.
Post-session feedback review
Each programme concludes with a brief written feedback form. Results are reviewed by the lead facilitator and feed into material updates for subsequent cohorts.
Our Values & Expertise
What we believe about financial education for adults
Financial education in Thailand, as in most countries, has long been aimed at younger adults — those entering the workforce, those taking on their first mortgage, those building the early layers of a career. That focus is understandable. But it leaves a substantial cohort underserved: adults in their forties, fifties, and early sixties who have accumulated assets, made pension contributions, and lived through at least one significant market movement, but who have never had access to financial education that addresses their actual situation.
At Ruam Wealth, we take the position that financial learning should never stop. The questions change as you age. In your forties and beyond, the questions tend to be about durability, sequencing, and the relationship between what you have and what you will need. These are not questions that a general investment course answers well. They require a different kind of attention — one that respects the complexity of a real household's financial life.
We work within the Thai financial system, not around it. The SET, the Bank of Thailand's rate environment, the Social Security fund, the GPF and provident fund structures — these are the instruments that Thai households actually hold. Our programmes address these specifically, using historical data from Thai and regional markets rather than generic global datasets that may not reflect the experience of someone who has spent their savings years in Bangkok.
We are not positioned as financial advisers and do not operate as one. We are educators. The distinction matters — not as a legal technicality, but as a genuine description of what we do. We explain. We illustrate. We give participants the tools to ask better questions of the people who do advise them. That is the purpose of every session we run.
